3 weeks left for locals to submit objections to possible wind turbines at Knockroe Passage Tomb

A planning application for wind turbines near Knockroe Passage Tomb is being called purely “opportunistic” by locals.

The 8 wind turbines would be located directly in the way of the light that enters the passage tomb on both the summer and winter solstices.

There are just three weeks for locals to submit their opposition to Tipperary County Council on the matter.

Speaking to KCLR News this morning, Pete Smith of Faugheen against Pylons and the Suir Valley Environmental Group says this isn’t the first attempt by the company.
