LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX (KCBD) –
Fire officials are on the scene of a fire south of Shallowater where a wind turbine caught fire.
This fire was off of County Road 1300 in Shallowater at the Prairie Dog Wind Project.
Officials on the scene say a generator caught on fire sparked the blaze.
Fire officials say they can only let oil in the turbine burn-off on its own due to its height. However, they say the fire is under control.
