A councillor is seeking to bring wind turbines near to Drumchapel so the community can receive benefits.

Wind farms come along with a community development fund which can often be used for projects or cheap energy.

Councillor Paul Carey has got Glasgow City Council to investigate who owns the hills behind Drumchapel, with a view of attracting wind turbine investment.

The Drumchapel and Anniesland representative says he has been working on the plan for more than a year and will keep the public posted of updates.
