Wind turbines threaten birds

The silence in the mornings has become a desolate sign of fall with the 5 o’clock chorus of tweets and melodies of birds gone. Most of these birds are on their way in a massive migratory wave to warmer regions of the Earth, but if the promoters of wind energy have their way, this silence of the fall may persist over all seasons.
Most people recognize the concept of climate change due to human activity to be a clear and present danger, with the need for cleaner energy to reduce carbon output a must.
The question remains as to whether the effect of green energy via wind turbine power is the right proposal for this area, with this massive migration of birds coming through.
Any doubt about the numbers of birds can be documented by radar studies of the USFWS under the direction of Jeff Grosse. Hundreds of millions of birds fly over this area and the location of wind turbines in Lake Erie would kill massive numbers of birds.
The question is whether the impact on this avian segment of our environment is less important than the creation of questionable amounts of electrical power.
Are the wrecks under the waters of Lake Erie more important to protect, in a marine sanctuary, than the thousands of birds in migration?
Are we so personally and collectively selfish that we can cast aside the decimation of thousands of birds for our own profit and misplaced interests?
If the promoters of turbine power are so dedicated to their cause, then seeking strategic placements of these massive industrial factories is a must.
We need to be ourselves an integral part of this decision of turbines in the Great Lakes.
