Force 9 Energy proposals for the 13-turbine Creag a’Bhaird wind farm in Perthshire have been rejected on appeal.
Scottish officials ruled in line with an earlier local authority decision based largely on landscape and visual impacts from the 30MW project.
“The proposed development does not accord overall with the relevant provisions of the development plan and there are no considerations which would still justify granting planning permission,” said the Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals.
Creag a’Bhaird was based on 2.3MW hardware within tip heights of up to 115 metres. EDF Energy Renewables was a partner in the project.
It would have been close to SSE’s operational 156MW Griffin wind farm southeast of Aberfeldy.
