The Member of Provincial Parliament for Prince Edward Hastings, Todd Smith, is another community leader not impressed with the provincial government approval of the White Pines industrial wind farm.
MPP Smith says he’s already written the Minister of Environment questioning his committment to the unique natural environment on the south shore of Prince Edward County.
He says all the governments green energy plan is accomplishing is causing heartbreak and wasting money.
Meanwhile, a Prince Edward County residents group long opposed to big industrial wind turbines in the County is unhappy with yesterday’s approval of the 27 turbine White Pines project.
Speaking on behalf of the County Coalition for Safe and Affordable Green Energy, Gary Mooney says its time for the community
to step up to the plate.
The spokesman for the County Coalition for Safe and Affordable Green Energy says he’s almost certain an appeal of the Ministry approval will be filed within the next 2 weeks.
