A group in the Hill Country does not want to see big windmills in their scenic views.
The group met Thursday evening to discuss options.
One proposed plan would put up more than 30 wind turbines near the Mason and Menard County lines northwest of Fredericksburg.
Some of the ranchers worry the turbines would hurt the environment.
“My dream was to move out here where there was nothing but beauty,” said ranch owner Doug Coe. “Now we’ve got this specter.”
The wind farm developer did not take part in tonight’s meeting in Mason.
