Eight wind turbines to be built near Humberston after Government approval

Grimsby Telegraph | March 24, 2015 | www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk

Plans for eight new wind turbines for land near Humberston have been approved by Secretary of State Eric Pickles.

The plans for Bishopthorpe wind farm, 2.2km South East of Humberston, were given the green light after appeal.

They had been initially refused by East Lindsey District Council planners.

Permission was also given for associated infrastructure, including foundations, transformers, crane hardstanding areas, new and upgraded site access, a new switchgear and control building, underground cabling, a met mast and two construction compounds.

Two turbines are already at the site as part of a separate development.

Keep checking for updates.
