PITTSFIELD – A 26-year-old Adams pleaded guilty to her role in the 2013 theft of $38,000 in copper wire from a wind farm in the town of Florida, according to the office of Berkshire District Attorney David F. Capeless.

Tiffany Bednarz admitted in Berkshire District Court to a single count of receiving stolen property valued at more than $250. Judge John Agonsti continued her case without finding for one year.

On Thursday, her father, Mark A. Bednarz 48, also of Adams was sentenced to 2 to 5 years at the Massachusetts Correctional Institute at Cedar Junction after he pleaded guilty to four counts of receiving stolen property valued at more than $250, and a single count of wanton destruction of property.

The two were among those arrested in connection with the theft of copper wire, valued at $38,000, from the Iberdrola Renewables wind farm at Bakke Mountain in Florida. The far has 19 340-foot tall turbines in Monroe and Florida generating energy for NSTAR.

Tiffany Bednarz admitted to attempting to sell some of the stolen copper, according to Capeless.
