New wind turbine bylaw in Plympton Wyoming

Unable to enforce setback bylaws on wind turbines, Plympton Wyoming council has passed a new bylaw designed to protect the health, safety and well-being of residents.
CAO Kyle Pratt says developers will face fines of up to $10,000 per day per turbine if infrasound levels climb above 20 Hz (Hertz).
The bylaw adheres to a ruling made by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on a challenge by Suncor Energy.
At levels higher than 20 Hertz, it is possible to feel infrasound vibrations in the body.
Research suggests that people exposed to higher than acceptable levels of low frequency sound suffer from sleep disorders, nausea, hormone level disruptions, hypertension and mood disorders.
Suncor plans to put up 46 turbines, primarily in Plympton Wyoming.
