Truro Daily News | October 14, 2014 | www.trurodaily.com

KEMPTOWN – An environmental assessment is to be carried out for a proposed wind farm project in Kemptown.

Affinity Wind is proposing a project involving three, 1.68-megawatt turbines on privately owned land, which would provide electricity to the Nova Scotia Power grid near Kemptown.

The Kemptown Wind Project is a relocation of a previously registered project called Kemptown Wind Farm.

Members of the public wishing to weigh in on the proposal are asked to provide comments to the Nova Scotia Environment Department by Nov. 13, preferably via e-mail.

A decision is expected to be made by Dec. 3

For more information on the project proposal, including the registration document, go to the department’s website at: www.gov.ns.ca/nse/ea .
