CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) – City Council unanimously voted Tuesday to annex 16 square miles of land in the Chapman Ranch area in order to block the proposed development of a wind farm.
Council members believe the proposed Apex wind farm would cause a number of problems. Those problems include causing difficulties for operations at area U.S. Navy bases.
The 16-square mile annexation is meant to discourage or at least regulate a wind farm that council members believe would cause a number of problems.
