Opponents of wind farm and pylon projects around the country are to stage up to six legal challenges against An Bord Pleanála in the latest dispute over pylon planning decisions.
Representatives of 40 anti-wind turbine and anti-pylon groups today agreed to set up a national plan of legal action against developers, at a meeting in Portlaoise.
The meeting was held to coordinate an awareness campaign for wind farm issues and pylon development.
Opposition groups want to apply pressure on the Environment Minister Alan Kelly and the Energy Minister, Alex White.
Arriving at the meeting many of the residents said they would support a new national legal challenge against government policy on pylons and wind farms.
