Crane accident near Grand Meadow injures operator

An accident involving a construction crane in rural Mower County Friday morning sent the injured operator to the hospital.
Workers at the scene tell ABC 6 News the crane was doing work at the site of a wind turbine south of Grand Meadow near County Road 8 and 180th Street.
The injured operator was taken to Rochester by Mayo One.
The crane was owned and operated by a sub contractor to Next Era Energy which owns the wind turbine were the accident occurred.
