Council votes to continue discussion regarding wind turbine

The Town of Portsmouth will continue discussing possible solutions to its wind turbine problem.

The Town Council voted 4-2 Tuesday night to continue the discussion regarding its wind turbine that broke down in 2012. The council is debating whether to borrow money to repair the turbine – located at Portsmouth High School – or simply tear it down.

Voters approved a $3 million bond issue in 2007 to have it constructed.
