The Grant County Board of Commissioners signed off on an escrow agreement with E.On Climate & Renewables Tuesday.
The company is now set to start a multi-million dollar expansion of its Wildcat Wind Farm project, which is expected to consist of 60 turbines in the area between Converse and Point Isabel. As part of an amended contract the commissioners approved two weeks prior, the project must start by the end of 2014 and finish by the end of 2015.
