More research needed

Don’t be misled by the headline “Turbines cause no ill health” (6/3/2014). The National Health and Medical Research Council study on wind turbines reported on did not say there was no harm to health. The article headline should have been “NHMRC calls for more research into the health effects of wind turbines.”
This research is also what the 2011 Senate Inquiry recommended as a priority. The only Australian research worthy of consideration by the study committee shows adverse health effects are being experienced out to 10km from large scale industrial wind turbines. This is hardly the “clean bill of health” that Mt Emerald Wind Farm developer Ratch is claiming. It’s time to get on with the necessary health research.
