NARRAGANSETT – Tensions were high at the third public hearing of the Coastal Resources Management Council’s Ocean SAMP Subcommittee Thursday morning regarding Deepwater Wind’s Block Island Wind Farm and Block Island Transmission System project proposals.

The Narragansett police were called to the Coastal Institute Auditorium at the University of Rhode Island’s Bay Campus after audience members became disorderly and heckled Tricia Jedele, vice president and director of advocacy for the Rhode Island office of the Conservation Law Foundation, as she was giving testimony in support of Deepwater Wind’s project.
