I wish to register my objections to the proposed site of the Wild Meadows wind farm. The landscape proposed for the wind farm coincides precisely with proven nesting grounds and nurturing sites for our precious loons
The loons nest in ponds around Newfound Lake and venture daily to Newfound Lake for food.
This proposed wind farm lies in the middle of their nesting and feeding grounds.
On this basis and also the fact that the proposed site covers an area within an area of great landscape value, I urge everyone to reject this wind siting proposal and afford this area the appropriate protection. Please vote against wind development in the Lakes Region.
