Council stands by opposition to wind farm

Galliford try renewables (GTR) withdrew an application for five turbines and put forward a revised plan for three turbines with the height slightly reduced.

The new application was recommended by planning officers for approval but the planning committee voted against the proposal, with seven votes to four.

The turbines were refused on the grounds that they would be dominant and intrusive.

Yes to Polegate Wind Farm has its own website and is in favour of the scheme, saying it was disappointed the scheme had been turned down.
