Turbines turned down

Permission for nine wind turbines at Butter Mountain, Manor Kilbride, has been turned down by Wicklow County Council. The rejection of the project has been welcomed by Nessa Childers MEP.

Ms Childers has called for “a complete national moratorium on large-scale wind turbine developments due to the lack of adequate national planning regulations”.
