The Ohio Power Siting Board will hold a public hearing to provide area residents an opportunity to testify about Hardin Wind, LLC’s proposal to construct the Scioto Ridge Wind Farm in Hardin and Logan counties.

The hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Veteran’s Hall in the Hardin County Courthouse.

Hardin Wind, a subsidiary of EverPower Wind Holdings, Inc., proposes to construct up to 180 wind turbines across 17,000 acres of leased land in Roundhead, McDonald, Lynn and Taylor Creek townships in Hardin County and Richland and Rushcreek townships in Logan County. The turbines would have a total combined generation capacity of 300 megawatts.

The Scioto Ridge project would include up to 60.5 miles of new and existing access roads, an 83.6-mile underground collection line system, and a new 6.3-mile 345 kilovolt (kV) overhead transmission line to deliver electricity to a new point of interconnection with AEP’s existing East Lima – Marysville 345 kV line in southwestern Hardin County.

Additional information regarding the Scioto Ridge Wind Farm, transmission line, and point of interconnection substation is available on the OPSB website at www.OPSB.ohio.gov.
