I am Laura Phares-Wilson, host of THE HIGHLAND PERSPECTIVE on Revelation Radio Network.org and The Microeffect Radio Network.com
In response to the article, “El Paso County Commissioners clear way for wind farm“, I would like to comment.
Only a few short weeks ago, numerous residents of the area directly impacted by the 147 turbines, over 40 stories tall, suddenly discovered the agenda.
El Paso Board of County Commissioners had been openly Bribed with an initial “gift” of 1.6 million dollars and $50,000 per year for the duration of the “Wind Farm” life (projected 35 years) to “spend any way they desired” several weeks before the sham of a hearing and vote yesterday, Dec. 19th.
The author of the article you posted is employed by KOAA Channels 5/30 which is the same employer of the Meteorologist, Dave Hazel, the Project Manager of the wind farm project.
Golden West Power Partners, though long ago and covertly had already been contracting and funneling tremendous amounts of money to local land owners, bricking the homes of those people and promising the Calhan, Colorado School System large sums of money, presented their “sales pitch” to the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners for 4 hours yesterday. Following their presentation, landowners who had already been paid and contracted with Golden West took as much time as possible speaking to the Commissioners and complimenting them for doing such a great job and telling them how the funds they were receiving from Golden West were going to benefit them personally. Finally, after 3 p.m., those who desired to speak to the Commissioners in opposition to the wind farm were allowed 5 minutes each to state their reasons. I was one of the people speaking in opposition as I am to be directly impacted within my land and residence.
The El Paso County Board of County Commissioners simply tolerated those speaking in opposition and at the end of the day, Commissioner Amy Lathen, the Commissioner representing the area of the wind farm placement, voted “NO” to save her seat and the rest of the Commissioners voted “YES” so they could take the position of THE BAD GUYS in front of Amy Lathen’s Constituents whom they do not represent. The majority ruled and the game was played.
Due to the outrage of members of the community who will be negatively impacted and harmed by the installation of the Industrial Turbines, and due to numerous Colorado residents who have been actively and successfully involved in having two state Senators recalled and forcing another one to quit because they refused to listen to their Constituents, a full force agenda to have all El Paso County Commissioners recalled is under way. Those of us who worked diligently in the Recall of the Senators recently have thoroughly enjoyed carrying out the trash and are confident that another history making Recall event will be a complete success. The people are simply sick and tired of Corrupt Politicians who believe that they are TOO BIG TO FAIL.
The Fact that the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners had no consideration for the well being of the people living in the community of Calhan, Colorado whatsoever and that the “Hearing and Vote” sham of Dec. 19th, 2013 was based on pre-determination with bribery and funds changing hands long before the “Hearing and Vote” as well as Golden West Power Partners stating openly at the hearing that without the Federal Tax Subsidies it would be impossible for them to install the wind farm (and the Tax Subsidies expire Dec. 31, 2013), the Commissioners are guilty of corruption and must be Recalled.
Warmest Regards,
Laura Wilson
