‘Early Christmas cheer’ as turbine appeal lost

Objectors to a planned 252-foot wind turbine near Temple Bar are celebrating some “early Christmas cheer” after an appeal over the development being refused planning permission was dismissed by the Welsh Government’s planning inspectorate.

In June, Ceredigion County Council refused a planning application by Graham Parry, of Nant Cleifon, Temple Bar, for permission for the erection of a single wind turbine, up to 77 metres to blade tip, on his elevated land, just north of Nant Cleifon.

Mr Parry lodged an appeal against the council’s decision with the Welsh Government in September. The appeal, however, was dismissed by inspectors last week.
