A trial over who owns part of the Lowell ridgeline critical to a 21-turbine wind project in Vermont has been proposed for August 2014.

The Caledonian Record reports (http://bit.ly/1fB5ubw) the Orleans County Superior Court case is expected to be a continuation of a battle over surveys and land records that began two years ago.

In 2011, Green Mountain Power took project opponents to court Don and Shirley Nelson of Lowell to stop them from interfering with blasting of the crane path and turbine sites on the mountain.

The Nelsons and GMP presented dueling surveys and experts that disputed the property boundary of land GMP has under a long-term lease for the wind project.

The Nelsons want a trial to find that GMP and other companies have trespassed on Nelson property.
