DEDHAM – The potential of a wind farm in neighboring Orland has several Harriman Pond residents concerned.

John Senesy has lived on Harriman Pond since 2007. The former New Jersey resident moved there to enjoy the scenic view of the hills and enjoy the quiet of rural Maine.

His neighborhood is adjacent to the proposed location of a three-turbine wind farm project in Orland.

On Nov. 5, Orland voters gave their support to Eolian Renewable Energy of Portsmouth, N.H., to construct a wind farm on nearby White’s Mountain and Dodge Hill.

On Nov. 7, Senesy checked with the Dedham Board of Selectmen to see if the town had the authority to protect his neighborhood.

Senesy told the selectmen that the turbines would block the hill’s scenic view and the humming would disturb the quiet.

Dedham officials indicated they had no influence on what happens across the town border.
