I oppose the 170-foot wind generator construction project proposition on Eve Eden Road, town of Denning.
I am a neighbor whose opinion was neither sought nor considered. The owner failed to inform me or publicize any aspect of these proceedings.
Anyone with even the most basic understanding of how wind generator turbines operate understands that the construction and maintenance of the structure poses grave difficulties and significant risks. I need not here encapsulate all of the findings, but fire, blade pitching, displacement of wildlife and negative impact to environment, inner ear sensitivity in humans to infrasound vibration, sound pollution, and cosmetic marring of the landscape are each significant in their own way, and each detrimental to our way of life. There is no doubt that the erection of this structure will reduce the value of our properties, let alone the immeasurable value of our peace and tranquility, our natural affection for the landscape and its uninterrupted vista of trees, hills, and sky. The proposed wind generator will degrade our lives. Since its construction serves one purpose, namely, to lower Judd Hirsch’s electricity bills at our expense, we ask that this project be immediately forestalled and eventually rejected.
