A 10-year-old wind turbine at Stateline Wind Farm snapped its spine and fell to the ground this weekend during a windstorm.
NextEra Energy Resources, the company behind the wind farm near Touchet, Washington, plans to clean up any fluid spilled Wednesday after removing equipment Tuesday. About 50 gallons of oil are held inside the stem of wind turbines.
