Wind industry created ‘nocebo’ effect

Cape Cod Times | October 25, 2013 | www.capecodonline.com

In his column of Oct. 22, Sean Gonsalves presents a false equivalence between the “nocebo effect” and the many health complaints from Falmouth residents living in proximity to that town’s turbines.

Is Mr. Gonsalves aware that he is essentially acting as a shill for the wind industry, the originators of the linkage between the “nocebo effect” and wind turbines?

People around the world are complaining of health effects caused by wind turbines; spending money on legal fees; in some cases abandoning their homes. Such a mysterious worldwide transmission of similar afflictions!

Three years into the Falmouth wind turbine controversy and the best that Gonsalves has to offer is the abstraction of the “nocebo effect” and his fulsome request for “the whole truth and nothing but the truth.”

Mr. Gonsalves, the truth is in the afflicted people. Go talk to them.
