A public Information meeting is to be held at Broughderg Community Centre on Sunday evening, October 20, at 7pm.
Organised by the group, West Tyrone Against Wind Turbines, the event aims to provide information on the “hidden dangers” of windfarms, particularly in rural areas.
According to a spokesman for the organisers, “If anyone has concerns about windfarms in their area, they must come along to this event.
“I would ask people living in rural communities in particular some very important questions.
“Are they unhappy about windfarms and turbines being imposed on their community against their will?
“Are they concerned about health issues relative to wind power technology?
“Do they have doubts about the effectiveness of the planning system in regard to wind turbine placement?
“These questions and others will be answered at the event on Sunday evening.”
