was successful in its appeal against a decision by Northumberland County Council’s planning and environment committee to refuse plans for a 60-metre anemometer mast on the site for a period of up to three years.
In his decision notice, planning inspector George Baird noted the refusal was based on ecology and the wider effect on the character and appearance of the area.
Mr Baird stated: “The addition of a mast for a temporary period would not have an unacceptable impact on the attractiveness of the area for walkers or the local tourism industry.”
