Landowners sue Piedmont, wind company offers compromise

If heated public debate were able to be harnessed for energy there may be no need for wind turbines.
But until that day comes, the fight over a proposed wind farm near Piedmont appears like it will continue. The latest shot in the wind farm war came from landowners outside the city who have filed a lawsuit against Piedmont over its recently passed ordinance that restricts the construction of turbines within three miles of the city border.
