NASA’s Glenn Research Center will hold a meeting to update the public on the status of a proposed wind farm at Glenn’s Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio.

The meeting will be held in the EHOVE Career Center located at 316 West Mason Road, F Building, Room T110 in Milan, Ohio, from 6 to 8 p.m. EDT on Thursday, Sept. 19.

During the first half hour of the meeting the public will be able to view informational displays and posters about the project’s activities over the past three years. NASA staff will be on hand to answer questions. The evening’s main presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. followed by a question and answer period.

First proposed in 2010, the wind farm would be located on underutilized property at Plum Brook Station to help meet NASA’s renewable energy goals. Since the project began, NASA has held one meeting to solicit the public’s input concerning the project; consulted with state and federal agencies and undertaken a series of environmental studies to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The EIS is a comprehensive report evaluating the potential impact of a wind farm on the property.
