Firefighters have gained control of the grass fire that resulted from a wind turbine catching fire along 351 in Shackelford County.
The grass fire burned about ten acres, but there were no injuries and no structures were damaged aside from the turbine.
Original Story
Firefighters responded earlier this afternoon to a wind turbine that caught fire along HWY 351.
At this time, the turbine has burned itself out, though firefighters are still battling a resultant grass fire.
The Hamby, Albany, Abilene and Shackelford County fire departments responded.
There are no structures in danger at this time.
