Study sees some hope for wind turbines

By Matt Gunderson, Globe Correspondent | The Boston Globe | August 25, 2013 | www.bostonglobe.com

A study by a local environmental organization, the Stow Energy Working Group, suggests that wind turbines are feasible but not optimal in town. Wind speeds remain substantially lower than in some other parts of the state, the study says, but it indicates that varying sizes of turbines, ranging between 90 feet and 300 feet, could function in some areas of town. The study can be found online at www.sustainablestow.org.
