Turbines stop at Fullabrook as wind farm closes down for 15 days

The country’s biggest on shore wind farm has been turned off for over two weeks meaning the 22 turbines has not been producing any power since last week.
Fullabrook Wind Farm, near Barnstaple, has not been operating since August 5 and will be not back up and running until August 20.
ESB International, who operate the site, confirmed the turbines have been switched off for the 15 day period to enable annual maintenance to take place.
The wind farm, which has been operating since 2011, produces enough electricity to power 30,000 homes.
This is not the first time the wind farm has been shut down this year – it was shut down for four days in May for maintenance and was shut down a further two times last year.
