Randolph County Council Tuesday approved a 10-year tax abatement on real and personal property for the proposed Headwaters Wind Farm to be operated locally by EDP Renewables.
The Headwaters Wind Farm will include 100 wind turbines generating an estimated 200 megawatts of electricity.
“We’re very excited about building a wind farm here in Randolph County,” said EDP Project Manager Jeffrey Nemeth. “We’re looking forward to being a part of the community for the next 30 to 50 years.”
