Woodstoke celebration for villagers after successful wind farm campaign

The successful battle to see plans for a wind farm blocked was celebrated as villagers turned out in force for a huge community party.

The Woodstoke event was a super family day out at Stoke Hammond Communiyt Centre with live bands and children’s activities keeping families entertained.

The event was in recognition of residents from six villages (Stoke Hammond, Drayton Parslow, Soulbury, Newton Longville, Stewkley, Great Brickhill, and Hollingdon) that supported the Stop Dorcas Lane Turbines Group campaign against four industrial wind turbines that would have impacted on all villages.

The Force 9 planning application was rejected by Aylesbury Vale District Council earlier this year.
