A farmer will launch a campaign to build three 215 feet high wind turbines on land near The Reebok Stadium.
James Thornbarrow, of Chadwicks Farm, in Lostock, will take on planning bosses when he appeals the council’s decision at a public hearing on Thursday, July 30.
Council planning officers rejected the application in June following objections over the size of the turbines and the impact they would have on living conditions of neighbours.
The Independent Planning Inspectorate will now have the final say.
Anyone can attend the hearing, which will start at 10am in the Lancaster Suite in Bolton Town Hall.
