Geen nieuwe grote windmolens in Aalten

[No new large windmills in Aalten]
Het lijkt erop dat er geen nieuwe, grote windmolens in Aalten komen. Burgemeester en wethouders voelen weinig voor nog een cluster van windmolens en de coalitie wil geen grote windmolens op eigen terrein toestaan. Dat bleek dinsdag tijdens de raadsvergadering in Aalten.
Aan de orde waren de uitgangspunten voor een nieuw bestemmingsplan voor het buitengebied van de gemeente Aalten. Daarin staat dat iedere woning in het buitengebied de ruimte krijgt voor het plaatsen van een vrijstaande windmolen. Maar de coalitie voelt daar niets voor.
Landschapsvervuiling
Jan Bulsink (Gemeentebelangen) vreest voor landschapsvervuiling en Gerbert Navis (VVD) vindt dat Aalten met windmolenpark Hagenwind in Barlo voldoende heeft bijgedragen. De coalitie is wel voor kleine windmolens op daken en gevels.
Turbines
Gerrit Migchelbrink (Progressieve Partij) suggereerde om in plaats van overal losse windmolens toe te staan juist voor clustering te gaan. Wethouder Ted Kok: “Dat staan we niet voor. Met de acht turbines van Hagenwind voldoen we al aan de opgave die de provincie heeft opgelegd.”
