De PvdA in Ten Boer is fel gekant tegen de optie van de gemeente Groningen windmolens te plaatsen in Meerstad-Noord, even ten zuiden van het dorp Garmerwolde.
“De grootste rioolwaterzuivering van Noord-Nederland staat hier, een slibverwerkingsbedrijf en straks ook een slibdepot”, somt fractievoorzitter Rita Pestman op. “Daar hoeft toch echt geen landschapsvervuiling in de vorm van windmolens bij.”
De andere partijen in de gemeenteraad staan duidelijk minder negatief tegenover de optie van Groningen.
