More wind turbines could go up at Maesgwyn site in Glynneath

South Wales Evening Post | May 28, 2013 | www.thisissouthwales.co.uk

More wind turbines could tower over Glynneath.

The town is already overshadowed by the Maesgwyn wind farm.

Now Pennant Walters has put forward a scoping opinion for 13 turbines, access tracks and associated works at Maesgwyn.

A scoping opinion is a precursor to a formal planning application.

Neath Port Talbot Council asked Glynneath town councillors if they wanted to comment.

However, members felt there was nothing to be said at this stage as it was not a planning application.

“This is something we will have to keep an eye on,” said Councillor Joan Bodman.
