Premier out of loop

It’s all very well for our new Premier Denis Napthine to admit to loving wind turbines, calling them majestic.

He doesn’t have to live next to them, or deal with unscrupulous behaviour by wind farm companies.

It’s all very well for him to want to cover the state in them.

I hope he will be equally as happy to pay to pull these rusting hulks down in 15-20 years, because no one else will.

When meeting with Macarthur residents affected by turbines, he led them to believe:

1. He had no grasp of the REC, which is the taxpayer subsidy the government hands out to wind farm companies.

2. He knew nothing about infrasound or the latest testing for infrasound to be undertaken by the EPA in SA because of serious concerns relating to the Waterloo wind farm.

3. He knew nothing about the latest development in the Cherry Tree wind farm which VCAT has put a stop to until more health studies are undertaken regarding larger turbines.

Perhaps, Dr Napthine, you need to go to www.stopthesethings.com/au and become acquainted with what is really going on behind the scenes in the wind industry.
