In an effort to deter wind farms from popping up in Mercer County, Neighbors United held an educational meeting for residents.

One woman and her family will be seriously affected if wind mills go up around. Her daughter suffers from serious seizures that have just gotten under control thanks to the Mayo Clinic. These turbines may potentially bring them back.

And one Hoaglin Township Trustee who has the turbines around him in Van Wert County spoke about the truth of what its like to live with them.

Many of the residents of Mercer County were completely surprised that these wind turbine plans had been in the works for years. Seventeen leases have been signed in the area and some even being signed as early as 2011.
