The Ardglass Wind Turbine Action Awareness Group are continuing to take their campaign out into other areas with a public information evening on what they say is the detrimental impact of wind turbines organised in association with Dungourney Community Council.

It will be held in Dungourney National School this Friday, April 12 at 9pm.

The Ardglass group was set up to oppose the construction of a large wind farm by Ardglass Wind Farm Ltd. The proposed development would see the construction of 11 wind turbines at Ardglass on the Castlelyons/Dungourney road in an area between Fermoy and Midleton.

The opposition group claim such a large scale development, with the tallest turbines in Ireland, would have a detrimental impact on the locality in terms of health effects, noise nuisance and other factors.
