I read in Tuesday’s Plain Dealer that the “corkscrew wind turbine” has been removed from the southeast corner of Progressive Field.
Good! While the monstrosity might have been a worthwhile project of Cleveland State University, it did not blend well with the ballpark’s architecture – the rationale given when the giant Chief Wahoo was retired to the Western Reserve Historical Society rather than being installed in his rightful place high atop the ballpark.
Now that the unsightly wind turbine has been removed, let’s see the chief released from his exile and installed where the turbine was.
