The Government has overturned a decision to refuse planning permission for eight 115-metre wind turbines and a substation near Louth.

East Lindsey Districy Council refused the applcation for the Gayton Wind Farm at Carlton Grange, Thacker Bank, last June – which attracted local opposition.

However, following an investigation in January this year, the Government’s Planning Inspectorate has overturned the decision, meaning the wind farm will now go ahead.
