Nine wind farms have been allowed on appeal:

Manor Farm, Fraisthorpe – nine turbines by TCI Renewables, approved in January this year.

Spaldington Airfield – five turbines from Coriolis, approved in 2010.

Sunderland Farm, Roos – nine turbines by RES, approved in 2009.

Sober Hill, North Newbald – six turbines by West Coast Energy, approved in 2009.

Hall Farm, Routh, 12 turbines by Ridgewind, approved in 2008.

Sixpenny Wood, Balkholme – ten turbines by Sixpenny Wood Wind Farm Ltd, approved in 2008.

Tedder Hill, Roos – three turbines by Eon, approved in 2008.

Withernwick – nine turbines by Energie kontor, approved in 2008.

Southfield Farm, Out Newton – seven turbines by Powergen, approved in 2000.

The average cost to the council per appeal is about £70,000 – landing the council with an overall bill of some £630,000 after nine appeals.

One appeal for six turbines near Burton Agnes is pending.

Seventeen wind farms have been built or have approval.

A new application has been lodged for six turbines at Welham Bridge, Holme on Spalding Moor.
