Meeting looks to allow county residents to voice concerns about wind farm ordinance

Vermilion County residents will have their opportunity to voice their concerns or support for the Vermilion County wind farm ordinance at 6:30 p.m. April 15 at Potomac Elementary School in Potomac.
Vermilion County Board Chairman Gary Weinard informed the Hoopeston City Council and Rossville Village Board of Trustees in March of recent developments with the Hoopeston Wind Farm project, which runs along the northwestern border of the county.
Weinard reported Apex Wind Corp., of Virginia, had purchased the property Hoopeston Wind Farm project that was previously owned by GDF Suez.
