Plans to double height of Ulverston windfarm rejected

North West Evening Mail | 28 March 2013 | www.nwemail.co.uk

Plans to build five giant wind turbines near Ulverston have been narrowly rejected.
South Lakeland District Council’s planning committee voted six to five against the application for the 99.5m structures at Harlock Hill, Pennington.

Local residents, who have campaigned against the development for several years, say they are relieved by the decision but they expect an appeal to be lodged.
